What is Covering?
Covering is the process of placing tooth-coloured materials on the front surface or all surfaces of the teeth to improve the health and aesthetics of the tooth. Coverings are performed to treat a number of cosmetic problems such as broken and missing teeth, disfigurement of teeth, gaps between teeth, or discolouration.
The biggest benefit of coverings is that the appearance of teeth can be improved and “long-lasting” results can be achieved in accordance with cosmetic expectations. In addition, long-term problems such as teeth fractures, large fillings are likely to be eliminated.

Because zirconium coverings can be used front teeth to be aesthetic and can be used in the back teeth because of the strong enough, they are safely preferred covering type. This covering, which fits perfectly with the gums, also reflects light like a natural tooth. In this way, it creates a natural tooth appearance.
The full ceramic empress tooth covers are especially preferred in single tooth coverings. This method is a type of application done directly on the tooth. The teeth around which the application will be made are made equally reduced and ready for the covering. Then the covering is applied to the prepared tooth. Full ceramic coverings and dental veneers which provide an aesthetic appearance in terms of light permeability and physical structure have become more preferred recently. Dental veneers, which are porcelain leaf layers affixed to the tooth surface, are prepared very finely in the desired colour and form. Today, laminate veneer coverings are preferred as a conservative method in all patients who have discoloured, broken or malformed teeth.
Composite laminate veneers are a treatment method known as radiated filling and applied directly to the tooth. It is used to remove discolourations on the tooth surface, to correct deteriorations due to small fractures and to improve the conditions of the infrequent tooth spacing and to make them look better. By correcting congenital deformities in teeth, teeth are given an aesthetic appearance. Tooth decay and abrasions on the bottoms are filled.

Covering Procedure
In the covering process, the necessary medical analysis is done first. Then the most appropriate method is determined for the patient. After the necessary tests, decays, old restorative materials or old fillings are cleaned. Then, the doctor takes measure for the entire tooth or the necessary part. Covering materials are prepared within the measures taken. In this process, the teeth to be treated are reduced to fit the dental cover. The amount of reduction varies according to the type and aesthetic expectation of the covering to be made. In some cases, the covering can be made without the need to reduce the teeth.
